Julia Dream

Lyrics

Sunlight bright upon my pillow

Lighter than an eiderdown

Will she let the weeping willow

Wind his branches round

Julia dream, dreamboat queen, queen of all my dreams

Every night I turn the light out

Waiting for the velvet bride

Will the scaly armadillo

Find me where I'm hiding

Julia dream, dreamboat queen, queen of all my dreams

Will the misty master break me

Will the key unlock my mind

Will the following footsteps catch me

Am I really dying

Julia dream, dreamboat queen, queen of all my dreams

See Emily Play

("The song was reportedly about a girl named Emily, whom Syd Barrett claimed he saw while sleeping in the woods after taking a psychedelic drug")

Lyrics

Emily tries but misunderstands,

She's often inclined to borrow somebody's dreams, till tomorrow

There is no other day

Let's try it another way

You'll lose your mind and play

Free games for May

See Emily play

Soon after dark Emily cries,

Gazing through trees in sorrow hardly a sound till tomorrow

There is no other day

Let's try it another way

You'll lose your mind and play

Free games for May

See Emily play

Put on a gown that touches the ground,

Float down a river forever and ever, Emily, Emily

There is no other day

Let's try it another way

You'll lose your mind and play

Free games for May

See Emily play

Haymarket Square

The lights inside the mind exploding in flashes of purple

Ripped with scarlet,yellow.

Tangerine mist exploding through the worlds of reality, images fade

descend

become changed

through thought  process of good

to evil.

Shapes appear out of nothingness

ti fade into something which rotates,

flashes, vibrates yielding only to the thoughts of man alone

Lights disappear briefly only to come on again

more vibrant,

more grotesque,

more beautiful.
